Thank you for visiting the Northwest Middle School Bands web site!

The Northwest Middle School Band Program is dedicated to strong pedagogy, enjoyment of music, collegial support, and performance of the highest caliber.  Musicianship, character, and discipline are the guiding ideals of our efforts every day. 

The musical ensembles in the program include the 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th Grade Bands, the Honor Band, and numerous other chamber ensembles.  These ensembles combined perform eight to ten concerts a year. 

In addition, individuals from these ensembles successfully participate in auditions for county, region, and state honor bands, solo and ensemble festivals, and performing ensembles outside of Northwest.

• "Superior" ratings at the 2007, 2008 and 2009 South Carolina Concert Festivals

• 2008 Outstanding Performance Award from the South Carolina Band Directors Association

• Featured musical ensemble at Walt Disney World in 2007

• 1st Place Gold Award at National Music Festival in New York City in 2008
