Parents, this page is all about providing you with the information you need. Please see below to view and download important parental forms and brochures. If there is something you cannot find on this page that you are looking for, please email Mr. Powell and we will be sure to assist you in obtaining the information you need.

• Provide a quiet environment, music stand and proper chair for your child's practice sessions

• Consider scheduling a consistent daily time for practice

• Praise your child's efforts and achievements regularly

• Encourage your child to play for family and friends

• Try to provide private lessons by an accomplished musician

• Talk to your child about music and activities in band

• Help keep your child's instrument in good working condition

• Encourage your child to make a commitment to band and stick with it for at least one year

• Show constant interest in your child's progress on the instrument

• Show support by attending performances and band function and participating in fundraisers

• Communicate with Mr. Powell on a regular basis about your child's progress

Important Reminder Regarding Concert Attire:

Ladies:

• White dress top

• Black dress pants

• Black belt (if belt loops)

• Black dress shoes or sandals (black socks if applicable)

Gentlemen:

• White, long sleeved, button down dress shirt | Black dress pants | Black belt | Black dress shoes | Black socks | Black tie (issued to the students by the band)

• All dress pants should be plain black

• All socks should be plain black

• All shoes should be completely black

• All belts should be plain black (silver or gold buckles are fine, but no studs, rings or writing on belt)

• All clothing must meet school dress code requirements
